'Hotel was not a $222/night hotel. Barely worth $100. Convenient to event. However, toilet seat wouldn’t stay connected on the toilet, the fill valve on toilet failed continuously without manual intervention, and could not maintain water temp in shower. TV connection constantly failed and had to be reset. For all this wonderful lodging, they charged an additional $100 to my card for a damage deposit. Hotel is old and has not been updated. Front desk staff very unhelpful. Many other guests...

'Good location to visit the KC Zoo and Starlight Theater. Our room and the hotel in general looks a bit in rough shape. Could use an update. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Made up for some of the physical issues with the building.'

'There was a large sticky spot in the carpet and a leak in the ceiling in the shower. I reported the problems and they said maintenance would look into it. With 2 issues in the room, I was disappointed they didn’t move us to a different room or at least comp the room. '

'Understaffed but working on training more. Restaurant only open from 7 to 9 for an excellent breakfast buffet. Right across from Kauffman Stadium. Would definitely recommend.'

'vibe felt sterile. No coffee makers in rooms. This is a basic amenity even at much cheaper hotels. They told us there was coffee in the lobby. It is a hassle to go down there, but when my husband did so, they were out of coffee and sent him to the restaurant, where he was handed a cup of coffee and told it would be six dollars. This is not what I call having coffee available at all times in the lobby. He declined and walked away. There was construction noise that we heard very loud in our room...
