'Een leuk, gezellig hotelletje met eigen zwembad. Zwemwater is voorzien van een soort zoutoplossing en NIET met chloor wat erg fijn is. Kamers zijn voorzien van airconditioners.
Wij hadden de familiekamer met 3 bedden op de verdieping, kijk uit voor je hoofd, je ligt daar dicht onder de balken en het dak.
We hebben er niet ontbeten, voor 12 euro per persoon vonden we het ontbijt wat karig.. wij vonden het leuker om naar het bakkertje te gaan (naast hotel) en naar slagerij te gaan om vervolgens...

'We had a very nice stay in this quaint hotel. The host was very friendly and helpful, provided us with a continental breakfast every morning and booked us on a great wine tasting tour. The building is obviously older, but very well maintained. VERY CLEAN and the bathrooms have obviously been updated in the not too distant past. Only complaint is that the WiFi speed is painfully slow and almost unusable. Very close to the bus stop and walking distance to everything the charming town has to offer....

'Very nice relaxing place with beautiful view on Siena and Tuscan landscapes. Restaurant of the hotel was really good, food and prices. There are 2 pools, one dedicated to kids so adults can relax at the other pool. The bar was very nice too with a friendly bartender who introduced us to the typical cantucci cookies from Siena.'

We had a great experience here. The setting is quiet and secluded—felt like a true escape from everyday life. The golf was excellent, the food was consistently good, and the service was friendly and professional.
It is remote, which adds to the charm, but just a heads-up: if you need anything like Advil or small essentials, the nearest town is about 20 minutes away on a dirt road.
Overall, everything was well done. We’d absolutely come back.'

'Very authentic ‘small village becomes hotel’- concept. No high level restauration here, many buildings were left in their ‘original’ state. People still living in the village add to the experience. Bit pricey for what you get. You pay for the experience, not for the comfort or service.'

'Our stay at Hotel Le Fontanelle was the highlight of our two week trip to Italy! The views are breathtaking and we enjoyed strolling around the grounds. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We had wonderful meals at the hotel restaurant and the restaurants at the Club House. The shuttle service between the hotel, the club house, and the winery was very convenient. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone- we’ll be dreaming about our stay here for a while! '

"Het verblijf was super. Zeer gastvrij en vriendelijk personeel. De kamers zijn schoon. Dit wordt dagelijks bijgehouden. Dagelijks schone handdoeken.
Goede bus en taxi verbinding naar het centrum van Siena en betaalbaar. Buskaartjes zijn te koop bij de receptie van het hotel.
Lopend ben je ruim 30 tot 40 minuten onderweg naar het centrum van Siena.

"The staff was friendly and everything was clean, but the accommodation didn’t feel fresh to me. The interior looked dated and at times a bit kitschy. Our bathroom had no ventilation, and the sealant showed black stains, which gave an unhygienic impression. The use of fabric furniture and carpets made the place feel less fresh and luxurious.
The welcome was underwhelming: you have to carry your luggage up a steep gravel path yourself, with no assistance from staff, which didn’t feel very hospitable. I also missed a personal touch; the hotel is quite large, which leaves little room for genuine contact or a warm atmosphere.
On a positive note, the location is truly beautiful and peaceful. The food was also good.
This place has great potential, but in my opinion, it’s in real need of renovation. With a thorough update, it could truly become a top-tier stay.

Would not recommend trying to reach the hotel by car (we tried, it was horrible), just park outside the ancient citywalls and walk 10 minutes.
Rooms were a bit noisy, could hear the alarms going off of the people staying next to us. Luckily we had pretty quiet people next to us.
