Award winning marmalades, served with HOMEMADE bread and all of the ingredients of the cooked breakfast’s are local and high quality. I highly recommend having the French toast or the Cumbrian breakfast, my son would highly recommend the kids French breakfast which is chocolate dipping bowl and fresh...

'What a perfect place to stay. Room was large and comfortable. Emiko was a lovey host full of great suggestions on what to do locally. Breakfast was very tasty but the real added extra was the on site bar with what seemed like 100s of different whiskeys which Emiko was very knowledgable on and happy to help you find one to enjoy. We will be back. '

'Beautiful property in the grounds of Greystoke Castle. Idyllic. The hostess was very welcoming and showed us round the room. Everything is well thought out, even provided a torch to use if you are out late. Welcome fruit and water in the fridge in the room and an extensive choice of hot drinks available to make. Fresh milk available in the room too. Very comfortable stay and wide choice of food for breakfast all freshly prepared.'

'Nice people on the reception offering walking guides just to use as soon as we told we were planning to do some walking in the Lake District. The rooms were spaceous and very clean. In the morning on request freshly baken croissants or oatmeal During the evenings we used the DVD service for free. You can pick one and play a movie in the room.'
