'Our stay came after an 18" snowfall and near 0F cold in historic Collinsville, so we were concerned about our late arrival, parking, safe walkways and a warm home. What we found were shovelled and treated walkways, a freshly plowed parking space, lights and heat on and a lovely home on the banks of the frozen Farmington River. 'This is our 4th year staying in Hillsdale post-Christmas but this house is the FIRST that had EVERYTHING we needed--spacious bedrooms. easy access to the woods, a beautiful "no traffic" road to take walks up, spectacular views, plenty of "hang-out" space for everyone, a fireplace.
