'Despite the cold/rainy weather, we had a wonderful weekend vacation. The host Rudy was great to work with, giving us lots of suggestions for indoor activities and restaurants. The house is beautiful and in a great location. The heated bathroom floor was a bonus! We'll be back in the future. '

'The space was clean, well-curated, VERY well-stocked, and easy to access. We arrived to a beautiful cabin where the host had thought of everything! There were plenty of dishes, a coffee maker, a water heater, spices, and clean towels. The tap water was delicious and the outdoor space was stunning. Due to rain, we were unable to use the outdoor fireplace, but the cozy enclosed porch allowed us to enjoy the outdoors even through a dramatic thunderstorm! 'I can't recommend Rustic Retreat enough for a stay in Lake Placid. Comfortable, cozy and very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities. There was more than enough room for our party of six to spread out and relax and we all loved hanging out in the main floor living room with the wonderful fireplace.
