'Lovely hôtel - perfect for Lake Windermere. Facilities in the hotel are great: there are even wellingtons you can borrow to do a woodland walk. The restaurant is fantastic with high quality food. The lounge and reception area have wonderful open fires which make it feel really cosy. Our feature room was fantastic and roomy.'

'The Elleray is pub/hotel it’s a traditional old building with sash windows, a dining area/lounge, bar and an outdoor beer garden. For the age and style of the building it was very clean in the rooms and public areas. The rooms are comfortable with a big telly, tea/coffee etc. The staff were excellent and friendly and helpful, the food was excellent as well and very tasty. They have a variety of drinks available including local guest ales although I didn’t try any, only thing I’d mention is if...

'Nice apartment for my wife and I to spend a couple of nights with our 1 year old daughter. There was plenty of room in the bedroom for the travel cot we brought with us, and they provided a high chair on arrival. The apartment was also dog friendly so our little pooch was able enjoy the trip with us (at a cost of £25 per night). The welcome pack did mention there was a free bag of dog treats available for dogs, but we didn't actually receive any. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything...
