'Only traveling through for one night so the location just off the highway and yet in quiet, lovely setting was perfect. We enjoyed being able to take lovely walks in the evening and the next morning and even got in a bit of shopping. Dinner options were plentiful and close. My one suggestion, for those traveling, is to start breakfast service a bit earlier than 8:00 AM.'

'Running a bed and breakfast is not easy. It's a lifestyle and an artform. Amy and Mark have mastered this completely and are true artists. The place was comfortable, well designed, clean and very classy. Breakfast on the patio was magnificent. Different entrees were served each day, one more delicious than the previous. 'We stayed at the Stone House for 3 days in July and had a wonderful time. Jane, our host, was great: kind and generous, friendly and helpful in every way. The breakfasts were deliscious and Jane accomodated my gluten free needs with ease. The house was immaculate, and quiet. Our room was very spacious and the bed soooo comfortable. We walked to Popham Beach and back for a lovely day at the ocean. We want to return!!'

'The absolute star if the show here is the inn owner Kathy! She is very knowledgeable about the area and even pointed out a great yarn shop down the road as she knew I was a knitter. The breakfasts were all unique, delicious and cooked to order each day with lots of fresh herbs. The communal areas were relaxing and practical with fridge, soft drinks, coffee/tea, ice and seemingly anything else you might need available 24/7. 'We had a very pleasant stay for two nights at the Stonehouse Manor late season at Popham Beach. Our room had a beautiful view of the mouth of the Kennebunk River. In the morning we lay in bed watching the sun rise on the autumn colored hillside by Fort Popham through the large bay window. It was quiet. We strolled the expansive grounds with our coffee admiring the botanical variation particularly the huge old copper beech in front of the manor. A homemade breakfast of Rachels blueberry...
