'Het is een leuke, goed gelegen locatie. Het stadscentrum is op loopafstand (20 minuten) en het station is ook dichtbij. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend aardig en heel hulpvaardig. Nadeel was het bed; voor ons was het matras te zacht en wat kort. '

'Gezellige, sfeervolle accomodatie met prachtig uitzicht over York vanuit onze kamer. Goede hygiëne, alles wordt prima schoongemaakt. Uitstekend, uitgebreid ontbijt. Ligging, vlak bij station York, prima. Uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen naar York-centrum. Heel servicegericht personeel.'

'This guest house rates as one of the top 3 ever experienced in England, (not only York) .... the level of comfort, service, friendliness, care and attention to detail was exceptionally high quality ... like staying with a well-to-do friend. It was also exceptionally good value. We shall definitely try to go there next time we visit York.'

'It was very clean and the facilities were as described. We had a twin room. It was downstairs next to the front door but it was very quiet in the property. We weren’t disturbed. Good tea and coffee making facilities. Fridge and bottled water provided. Host was on hand when we checked in and explained everything we needed to know. Just stayed on night. Met our needs comfortably. Uber from Betty’s York area around £5 each way. It is walkable too. '

'A delightful place to stay in a great location with lovely hosts. A short 10-15 minute walk and you're in middle of town with all the sights. Breakfast consists of lots of fresh homemade options that are top notch. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with refreshments and amazing smelling toiletries. Would love to stay again. Look no further, this is the one you should book. '

'The property was excellently situated just around the corner from the Minster. The rooms are well presented with everything you need and staff are very helpful. The pub down stairs is well stocked and a nice environment to be in. Jane was amazing and very generous on our arrival to take our bags in early so we could make the most of our time in York. The breakfast offer is great and the food was lovely, well cooked and great products. The cost of the breakfast offer was well priced and so worth...

'Everything was good. From check in to check out I have no complaints. The guy who was there was very friendly. Didn’t have the breakfast as I didn’t get up in time but it did smell good!!'

'Comfortable stay in all. Room and amenities exceeded expectations. Note for those wanting to park, the car park is small. It’s understandable that this fills up, fortunately the convention centre opposite has affordable parking. Will stay again when visiting friends and family in Harrogate. '

"Prettig hotel. Kamersleutel nodig om lift te bedienen en trappenhuis te openen vanaf begane grond. Dat vind ik een prima beveiliging, hoewel niet waterdicht. Engels ontbijt, mag wat meer continentaal. Vriendelijk personeel. Schoonmaak goed. We hebben een uitstekend verblijf gehad."

"Absolutely loved this hotel! Very warm and friendly staff, even gave us a freshly baked cookie. Spacious and clean rooms. Breakfast was fantastic with a lot of variety and even complimentart à la carte options as well. The HDMI port and mirror heating were very thoughtful!"
