'It's Alaska, so it's different. We live in Fairbanks and were meeting family that flew in from the lower 48 and were boarding a cruise. It was a turn-and-burn, one-night stay. The hotel room was super clean, bed was super comfy, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was close (walkable) to an IGA grocery store, a liquor store, and an Alaska State museum. Totally recommend!'

'Great hotel. We had some trouble contacting them, but that was due to our phones. But when we arrived we asked the neighboring pizza place to class them and they arrived super fast to let us in. Room was very comfortable with interesting bedlinnen;). Great that they offer airport shuttle too, super useful'

All staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Bed was extremely comfortable with lots of pillows and soft sheets. 'The diner was absolutely perfect. The town does shut down pretty early, so getting a later dinner is not really very easy. The diner stays open until 8pm. The food is really good, and the staff is even better. We ate breakfast there every day of our trip and even had dinner there twice. '

'Glacier Bay Lodge is several miles outside of the small town of Gustavus, but the destination of choice for travelers to the area, providing an optimal staging place for trips out to the glacier. We hiked the coast on the forest trails running north and south from the lodge. Both trails are extremely well maintained and gorgeous the whole way through. The staff was more than happy to ensure we knew all of the risks in the area and allow us to borrow bear spray just in case things went sideways....

This is the first ice machine in a hotel that I have seen in all of Alaska. Actual room service offered. Not just saying you have wifi and giving you a password, but actually providing workable technology that has bandwidth to allow you great connections. This hotel stands above when it comes to customer service. Excellent check...
