'It's a hostel! Don't expect room service. But it was exactly what we were looking for (cheap room). The added attraction for us was the fact that it is a 125-year-old house. It was great getting to experience sleeping on the floor on futons. As with most hostels, the toilet and bathroom are "down the hall." However, our room had its own private toilet, which was convenient. Check-in was "interesting." There's a box at the front door that has "check-in" instructions for incoming guests. You find...

'Was een hele leuke ervaring en prima hotel maar had het gevoel dat bepaalde dingen best toe aan vernieuwing waren, had ook eerlijk gezegd deurtjes of iets in die richting verwacht bij de capsules, nou had ik het geluk dat er niemand snurkte of andere dingen deed maar dat kon ook anders zijn. Wel ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam personeel en hele gezellige sfeer! Voor tussenstop is het echt perfect en aan te raden.'

'Simple but clean, affordable, and well located option for staying in Kyoto. The staff seemed to be mainly Indian/South Asian and very fluent in English. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, yet easily walkable to public transit and major attractions. The only downside was lack of on-site laundry facilities (although maybe they had laundry and I just never found it?) Anyway, a great stay.'
