'The hotel was very nice as were the staff. As in many cities there is a significant homeless population close to the hotel. We have no difficulty, we were not bothered, it’s just sad to witness. Powell Books is a stones throw away, we had a few (4-5) blocks to walk for a meal. We wanted to watch play off hockey (Canadians!!) and we had no problem finding bars with TV’s. Staff in all areas we were gave great friendly service. All and all good city, very decent hotel. '

'This time we had another guest near us, opening and closing their door loudly all through the night, we could hear them literally running down the hall. It was frustrating trying to sleep.'

'The hotel is clean and modern. The room is perfect except foe the noisy fridge. However the service is not as expected. Paid for breakfast and at 830 the first day they were already cleaning up and the assortment was limited. Second dat there was not even breakfast. I am still waiting for the promised breakfast. '

'Rooms and property look recently renovated. Our suite was "huge" and had everything. We really liked the complimentary beverage and snack in the evening plus buffet breakfast. Pool was great too!'

'My family and I enjoyed the hotel. The kids said the pool was a bit chilly but still fun. The only complaint we had was that the food we got delivered from room service was not that good. We order fries and garlic bread. They both came lukewarm at best and a bit soggy like they had been sitting for a while. The staff was amazing and the room was nice as well. '

'Lobby not welcoming. Most places have welcome coffee, which is nice and they had nothing except a nice clerk that stressed that nothing was complimentary! '

'We've been to the area many times and never have stayed at the Hyatt Place. In the past it was overpriced and we've stayed at the Residence Inn down the street many times. This time as we checked ahead of time the Hyatt was cheaper. We were pleasantly surprised about everything at this hotel and will stay here again and maybe even if its price is close to the Residence Inn. Very nice place all around. The breakfast bar was one of the best we've had!!!'

'A comfortable stay downtown Portland. The room was not too big, but comfortable. The only thing was parking. Not a lot in the area, valet parking was expensive, $48/day.'
