'No elevators in the place so you need to carry all of your stuff up a ton of stairs. There was a huge bug in our room and the AC’s didn’t work well. The guy had to come out and help but he got it going. Need more towels than 3 for a family. Loved the washer and dryer and location, and parking available. Pull out bed needs a new mattress as it had stains! The couch needs a good steam clean. Otherwise it was cute and cozy!'

'The location of this property was great, on the perimeter of downtown Portsmouth which is a wonderful little city. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, both for good selection and the taste. My biggest complaint is that it was very noisy in my room. The AC unit is the loudest I've ever heard. A few times I thought it was a nearby train when it started running. Also the people in the room above me woke me up at 1 AM doing something. I didn't hear voices...

'No complaints, nice and spacious room, the cleaning service seems a bit overbooked, as day 1 both of my glasses in the bathroom were filthy (lipstick stains, eww!), but this was resolved immediately when i asked. Club level has a separate room for breakfast in the morning and snacks in the evening, both were great. The elevator to the club level however is unbelievably slow.'

'The hotel was in an excellent location for easy walking to many of the attractions in Portsmouth NH. The rest is not so good! I booked this hotel for our 47th anniversary thinking that its harbor side location with views was romantic. The booking and pre visit communication was good yet we received no hotel entrance instructions until I called upon arriving at the hotel. There was no elevator access to the second story hotel entrance and a difficult climb for two 70 year olds up 20 steep...

'It was very basic room and breakfast. The construction surrounding the hotel was blowing dirt everywhere and confused my GPS and sent us through the construction. Recommend you close down and update the hotel. Doors in the halls to maintenance areas were in need of help.'

'Loved the breakfast. Common areas were clean and well lit. The room, while comfortable, nut needed housekeeping attention, particularly the bathroom. I was confused by the room cleaning schedule of every other day. Our room was freshened only once in our 7 night stay. Trash was emptied only once. We liked the hotel and will return.'

'Their room assignment system was broken and they were understaffed. The staff did their best but they did not have sufficient help. Once we were in it was great with no issues.'
