'Nicely located old landhouse hotel. We stayed in the pineapple suite which was nice. The only downside was that the bed was a bit squaky and there was no hairdryer supplied in the room.'

'It was just a place to sleep one night as my family was in a rental on the beach but it was pretty much perfect other than the shower floor creaking in spots and the wand missing but that’s trivial. The bed was very comfortable great ac with the heat pump and a very good size room for the price would definitely book again'

'The historical house really made it a special stay. The staff both at the hotel and the bar/grill were friendly, and shared great stories of the home. Durham is a fantastic town with great history that the Durham Historical Association, which is just down from the hotel proudly displays. I will definitely return.'

Room was well decorated, clean & very comfortable. Ability to park early & also leave the car and head over to the beach after check out was amazing! We will certainly be back & highly recommend!'

'Location, location, location!!! Fabulous spot to spend a birthday week!!! Wish I could’ve stayed longer!!! The service was amazing- the hotel staff stopped in each day to check on us and give us more coffee pods, toilet paper, etc. I would love fresh coffee in the hotel lobby for early morning risers. It’s hard to make coffee at 5am with others sleeping. ❤️'
