The location is perfect: the Thaxter is in the heart of the old port city and you are surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, good restaurants and interesting shops. We will gladly stay there again.'

'Great location and staff was pleasant. We stayed at a room near the elevator and the elevator beep sounds like a doorbell. It woke me from a sound sleep and since it repeated so frequently, I stayed awake. This may be something that was not brought to the hotel’s attention. '

'No complaints, nice and spacious room, the cleaning service seems a bit overbooked, as day 1 both of my glasses in the bathroom were filthy (lipstick stains, eww!), but this was resolved immediately when i asked. Club level has a separate room for breakfast in the morning and snacks in the evening, both were great. The elevator to the club level however is unbelievably slow.'
