'We stayed in first level and there was noise coming from second level all throughout the day. Sounded like little a child was running & jumping around. At late night it was quiet. Wish host had a number to be reached since there was a confusion on first set of access instructions. It took us a bit to get in since we were waiting on host to answer us. Oven had food crumbs and had to rewash skillet & pots before using them since they had some food residue. Other than that, rest of home was pretty...

'The rooms were spotless and beautiful. The appliances were top of the line. The setting was quite atmospheric, amazing south looking views. Centrally located was important for our stay. For our personal comfort I wish the beds were softer. Would have liked more draperies on bathroom and front of house windows. Host was thoughtful and kind. '

'there were no shops nearby, but BART train across the street is great, so long as you are ok with the building shaking and train noise every 6 minutes from 5 am to past midnight. there were so many things wrong that it's hard to recount them all: most important is that the owner did respond when advised of a problem and tried to get most of it fixed but the basic situation was unfixable: furniture is Salvation Army, no wall pictures or any sort of decent decoration - feels like 1 Star hotel room...

'Beds were comfortable and kitchen useful, response from owner was prompt re a couple of things and a nice location. We were a little surprised it was a basement apartment- it looks like it's an upper level space in the photo. It was nice and worked for us, but hardly luxury. Seemed a bit deceptive w the photo and luxury description. The blinds are outdated and clumsy, the lighting could be much better with dimmers and floor lamps and the stools were cheap and uncomfortable. Simple solutions...
