'One Star hotel/resort with a five star beach. Skip the hotel but visit the beach while on the island staying elsewhere. Food options were extremely limited and for an all inclusive not always available. Staff was extremely disinterested in service. Hotel is very very dated and in need of repair. We left three days early as even the beach couldn’t make up for the regrettable hotel and service. '

'We stayed in "the Captain", one of the suite-buildings on the resort , supposedly the upmarket sister of the all-inclusive Jolly Beach Resort, but stangely enough this Tranquility Resort is further away from the beach than the Jolly Resort, with no be beach/sea views from the accommodation; the 3 floor suite buildings look a bit outdated, but the suite was huge (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sitting room/kitchen) and comfortable, except there were no (black-out) curtains, just blinds that let the...

'The Villa we rented was superb. On the water with a deck over the water. One of many Villas in Jolly Harbour. A short walk to the South Beach (Beautiful Beach). Great Bars and Restaurants at the Marina with live bands. Grocery store and Golf course next to the marina. We rented a golf cart to get around, but you can walk. Jolly Harbour is one of the best places in the world.'

'Voormalige britse kolonien staan erom bekend dat het een rommeltje is. Rex Resort en Antigua zijn daarop geen uitzondering. Het weer en de vriendelijkheid van sommige lokale bevolking maakt echter wat ons betreft veel goed. De openlijke corruptie bij het verlaten van het eiland(Embarkation tax $210 was wel de limit wat mij betreft. 'Beautifully manicured grounds on arrival. Easy parking outside our cottage.
Good sized bathroom with plenty of hot water and nice toiletries.
Well appointed kitchenette and we had to ask for just a couple of essential items.
Nice balcony surrounded by trees. However, one of the cats was a real problem coming onto the balcony and leaving mess on the couch.
Heavy music from a nearby property was a problem on occasions.
