'I enjoyed the view from my room and location in general. We could walk right out to beach and there was also a pool. The hotel was very close to Carova Beach...maybe a 10 minute drive. Also there was a basic breakfast in the morning which saves money and time to start your day'

'The property is a bit dated but the staff and the friendly gentleman that prepares the breakfasts make up for it! The dock leading to a gazebo with the hammock swing was my favorite feature. The Sound catches beautiful sunsets and that spot was perfect to watch it. The light house and historic bath house can be seen there as well. My stay was short- but I plan to go back!'

'It was a beautiful condo. Was centrally located. We did walk the "direct beach access" path to discover it takes you over to another street, then you walk down about a block to get to the beach access. It was fairly close but the word direct was misleading. The use of the kitchen and laundry was a plus. The pool wasn't open for the season but it looked clean and had a nice sitting area around it. Additionally, the host is very polite on the face of it, but is really unfair when it comes to the problem solving. 'I have always wanted to go to the Outer Banks and see the wild horses. We take a couples getaway each year, and prefer to stay somewhere quiet and secluded.
