'Website makes the hotel look a lot nicer than the hotel actually is. The beds are pretty much on the floor. Pool was closed until 5pm first day we got there with no warning. They sent us a txt when we first checked in and the txt said if we needed anything, to respond to the txt. I did, and never got a response back. The furniture outside our room didnt have any padding. Just wicker furniture that was covered in bird poop. Didn't seem very well maintained. Had to put a towel down on the chairs....

'Nicely renovated art, deco style old hotel. The lobby was a little sparse, but I wasn’t really spending my time there anyway. Conveniently located right downtown and walking distance to some restaurants. The free parking available behind the hotel was wonderful!'

'The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean, comfortable, and free of any unpleasant odors. The window could be opened slightly to allow fresh air inside, making the room comfortable even on a warm day without needing much air conditioning. The breakfast area was also spotless and offered a wide variety of choices. Parking was easy, convenient, and felt safe. The only drawback was that weekend rates were nearly twice as high as weekday rates.'

'The entire facility needs a good & thorough cleaning and much needed and long past overdue maintenance. The service staff was surly and rude and restaurant staff equally so. The "continental breakfast" meager and limited. We have had better breakfasts at a Hampton Inn and theirs is weak. All in all the price was way out of line with what we received. We will never return to this place and will make certain that all of our friends are informed.'

'To be perfectly honest when we entered the room we thought 😮 WOW !!! We should sleep like babies . . . The room was the size of a babies room and it may as well have been fitted with furniture from a small camper. We have stayed in nicer tents than this room! Description of the property was quite deceptive to say the least as well as the description of the surrounding area and availability of amenities and activities. Extremely disappointing and the price was absolutely ridiculous 😡'

'Rating: 2.5–3 stars This property sits in an absolutely beautiful location with stunning views of the lake and the hills to the west. The sunsets are truly incredible, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The front yard has a lot of charm and potential, though the grass was noticeably overgrown during my stay. The experience itself was unusual. I was greeted briefly by someone who handed me the key, but after that I didn’t see a single staff member, and there’s no real reception...

'Owners were delightful - kind, hospitable,and helpful. Breakfasts were a treat each day (especially since I didn’t have to cook or clean up). And location was very convenient to Geneva, Auburn, Seneca Falls (great history!), and Watkins Glen. And, of course, lots of wineries. My room was big and bathroom huge. Slept 9-10 hours each night - much needed. Highly recommend for a weekend away.'

'A beautiful home where the downstairs public rooms are available for all the guests! Beautiful gardens to relax and enjoy. A very short walk to restaurants and shops. Lots of special touches such as coffee, tea, and snacks available. Within a short drive of many wineries. Very quiet! A different experience from the traditional hotels.'
