'We loved our stay! We were two couples and the bedrooms were fairly equal. The old house was beautiful and very cool. The property and landscaping is unbelievable, with a large yard and peninsula going out into the pond. We went in late October and while the leaves were beautiful, some of the nearby restaurants were closed for the season. But we went to Damariscotta, which is a cool little town with shopping and restaurants. Acadia was about 2.5 hours away and worth the trip.'

'We enjoyed our stay at the Captain’s House. It’s quaint and quirky. It was clean and comfortable. We were able to easily walk into Damariscotta for the pumpkin festival and other local sights. There’s a fantastic playground near the local Y and Great Salt Bay community school that’s worth the visit if you are traveling with kids. When we were in the house, it was cozy to hang out near the kitchen and living room combo'
