'The actual apartment itself was fine. A bit tight but fine. The greatest concern was the trash that was on the roof right outside my patio. Which made you not want to sit on the patio. The other concern I had was the difficulty I had getting in touch with anyone to help or answer questions. I shouldn't have to play email-tag in order to get help. 'Listing was not as advertised, in an unsafe neighborhood, requested separate rental agreement (which would be fine) but an additional requirement for card documentation for their file, implying a duplicate charge. When I tried to cancel our 5 night stay (online, via phone, and through email) after nearly being accosted by 3 strangers upon our entry, I was immediately denied and told 'no refund', 'can't cancel' and 'its not known (locally) as a safe place'. Ridiculously poor customer service...

'The apartment is exactly as described! Very clean. Perfect location. Close to grocery stores and liquor stores. It is a bit noisy from outside noise, but what place isn’t in New York? So bring some ear plugs. Definitely worth the rental price!! We could not have been any happier with this rental!'

'As soon as I walked in the smoke alarm was beeping so I had to contact the host and wait for that to be fixed. Then I went to take a hot shower and relax….. no hot water. And I’m talking the water was ice cold. Contacted and they came to look at it. The man went into the bathroom with the shower on and shut the door.
