8/10 – Goed

Room and bathroom were spacious, but quite plain, kind of like a hostel. I’ve stayed in approximately 30 hotels in different parts of Mexico. This one by far had the roughest towels. Not certain what cleaning or drying process they use for their towels, but…it leaves the towels feeling very rough.
Beds are somewhat firm, but pillows are very comfortable. Air conditioning works great. My room had a small refrigerator, which is a rare feature and was much appreciated. Wifi in the room is strong. Hot water supply was good, but most of the time the water had to be run for a while before the hot water arrived.
The bathroom had a single towel rack, located in the shower stall, which was an odd location. Some additional towel hooks in the bathroom would have been welcomed. As well, complimentary bar soap and shampoo are provided, but the shower lacks a small shelf for these items. I had my own body wash and shampoo, but had to place these items on the tile floor inside the shower.
Well fitting screens on the windows, so that the windows can be opened to admit fresh air, without admitting insects as well.
The hotel was very quiet generally, though a nearby venue plays live music every night, which terminates around 23:00.
There is a lovely rooftop patio, part of it in the sun, and part of it shaded. Very nice.
The hotel is in a great location, only a few minute’s walk to the central square, taxis, restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores and a large grocery store.
