'I did not feel safe here. Located on a parking lot where people were hanging out and doing drugs all night long. Because of this there was a terrible weed smell in the room and also a lot of noise.
The room itself was okay. Nice bed and TV. Airconditioning was loud but worked fine. Bathroom was old but functioning. The place can definitely use some touch ups.'

'I came to get into my room and the lobby staff member told me they have never had vacancies and they accidentally put it on the market. To get a refund, I had to get the agent on the phone to call the hotel and confirm I didn’t have a room. Well, the hotel literally doesn’t even have a phone. The man at the front desk said there should be a phone but he doesn’t know the number. He asked if I could hand him the phone to speak to the booking agent and didn’t understand that wouldn’t work.

'My stay was overall pleasant and convenient, especially with the reliable and punctual airport shuttle service. However, the hotel is starting to show its age, with the carpets looking quite worn in some areas. It was a good experience. I would rebook. Thank you.'

'This motel 6 is exactly what you pay for. It’s definitely for saving a buck—thin bed sheets and messy landowner special in the rooms being paint and stain jobs, etc. that being said, it had good space and decent location for a 1/4th of the price of hotels in downtown Chicago. We came for a wedding.
The property is gated in which gives a safer feel especially in leaving your cars and they don’t enter the rooms during your stay unless requested so you’ll have privacy.'

'The reviews online do not coincide with what I found. Jeff were nice and the rooms were clean. However, the hotel is very old. They have tried to do small update which have helped. Yet, the carpet in the hallway need to be replaced and specially the carpet in the stair well were completely soiled. The curtain inside the room did not close all the way and light from the parking lot came in all night. 'The good: very reasonable price, we felt safe enough, it was convenient to Midway Airport (15 minutes by car, straight up Cicero), and there are lots of food options nearby. 'Apparently buried somewhere on this hotel's listing on Expedia it says everyone is expected to put down a returnable $100.00 cash deposit upon check in which will be returned in the checking out process. I did not see this advertised on Expedia or their site but found it after the fact when I had to do a deep dive into the fine print terms and conditions. Something like this needs to be advertised openly and highlighted. Many people don't have cash like that on hand and can't afford to put down...
