'By far, the best hotel in the area. (I read the reviews on the others & every one had reports of bugs within the past year!!) Very clean. QUIET. Rarely can I find a hotel where something in the room isn't waking me up all night...buzzing fridge, rattling a/c, etc. NOTHING in the room woke me up for the 2 nights I was here. Never heard the fridge. The a/c clicks on quietly & the fan runs with a soft, constant white noise. I did hear an elephant pounding around upstairs for about 30min at 1am on...

'Even though the hotel appeared to be a little older on the outside, the inside was nicely updated! We enjoyed every part of our stay and even got to have fun in the pool. Housekeeping did a great job too. Breakfasts were tasty and complete from healthy to the not healthy..all yummy. Desk staff were so friendly and helpful too! Thank you for a delightful stay! '

A mistake was made and I was booked in 2 hotels the same day and Expedia and hotel would not help me CHANGE not get a refund on the bookings I had. 'We really enjoyed staying at The Monte Vista during the Sourwood Festival. It was great to walk to town to eat and attend the festival. The hotel is old but very charming. It has a lot of stairs and no TV in some rooms, so be sure to book a room accordingly.'

'Everything was clean and spacious. Room had a small fridge and coffee maker, although there was a coffee bar (free) set up in the lobby every morning. Quiet. Walking distance to a number of eateries and other business establishments in the area, including a movie theater. Great little restaurant attached to the hotel - Fork Lore. Free parking. Would definitely stay there again.'

'Property is clean and well kept. Convient location, but a little difficult to get to. If you are coming from the south you need to go to downtown and do a uturn and go back over the bridge to get to teh location. If you miss it you have to do 2 u-turns to get back to the exit.'
