Het TERRAZZA DE 'MEDICI appartement is gelegen in het historische centrum van Florence, op een steenworp afstand van de Ponte Vecchio en dicht bij alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden van de stad.
De structuur bevindt zich in een prachtig gebouw uit de 14e eeuw met uitzicht op "Borgo San Iacopo", een karakteristieke straat in het centrum met verschillende boetieks, antiekwinkels, bars en restaurants. Dit appartement is een ideale bestemming voor diegenen die een onvergetelijk zakelijk verblijf in Florence of een romantisch weekend willen doorbrengen.
Het appartement, onlangs gerenoveerd, is ingericht met antiek en is voorzien van alle moderne gemakken: WiFi internet, lcd-tv, dvd ...
Gelegen op de eerste verdieping van dit gebouw is verdeeld over 80 vierkante meter met: hal, woonkamer, eetkamer, keuken, badkamer en twee slaapkamers. Unieke en onbeschrijfelijke charme van het terras met een kiosk, "een schip in de stad", waar gasten kunnen genieten van een panoramisch uitzicht op 5 sterren en ontspannen met een drankje of dineren onder de sterren.
Het terras met balustrades vol met groenblijvende bloemen wordt aan één kant afgesloten door de loggia van de veertiende eeuw, omgedoopt door de eigenaar "bellosguardo". Vandaaruit kon Francesco I de Medici zijn geliefde Bianca Cappello observeren die op de Via Maggio woonde. Beide protagonisten van een van de mooiste liefdesverhalen van de Florentijnse Renaissance!

Wonderful stay in the heart of it all!

Great location and incredible AC which is so important during the summer! Many updates and upgrades since the pictures were taken. The two bathrooms are great, both with showers and toilets. Large bedrooms with comfy beds. The kitchen is small but has a large refrigerator/freezer, a 4 burner induction cooktop, microwave, and small dishwasher. We stayed 18 nights so made a few meals there. The location is fantastic. Many wonderful restaurants within a five min walk and a grocery store too! There is only a washing machine (which is awesome) but no dryer so be sure to bring a travel clothes line to hang your clothes to dry overnight. The outside balcony/patio area is to die for, so lovely to have a private outdoor space!!

Great building and location but very noisy

The apartment was in a beautiful well situated building. The space was clean but not as well appointed or fresh as it appeared in the photos (upholstery was tired and some of the decorations cheap and tacky). The outdoor space was beautiful, but without comfortable furnishing. The greatest problem was the street noise! Bring earplugs - the noise goes late and starts early

Absolutely amazing location...

The apartment and terrace gave the old world experience we were looking for. Super easy to walk to all locations and tons of restaurants near by. I highly recommend. The only downside to property is that it is at a very busy intersection with noise at night. I just ran a background fan noise app on my phone and it worked out perfectly. Just something some may need to consider.

Architectural Gem

This apartment is in a well-designed building with thoughtful preservation and renovation. On the first floor, its primary feature is a lovely balcony and cupola room overlooking the street.While well stocked with necessities and excellent linens and cleaned weekly, this apartment has some challenges including a lack of storage space and a lack of light. The common room is small, but filled with very large furniture that cramps comfort. The primary bedrooom faces the street and can be noisy well into the night. Street cleaning starts at daybreak or a little before and there was noisy ongoing construction during our entire stay.That said, Oltrarno is wonderful, and very desirable as a neighborhood. Steps from the Centro Storico, this apartment is close to wonderful restaurants, shopping, artisan work shops and food resources without the hubbub of the major tourist areas across the Arno.

The property is full of character and well-furnished. The lift was non-functional during our stay and there are signs of deteriorating wood on the door shutters and windows in the small conservatory on the terrace - but overall the place is ideally situated, the property manager was quick to reply to inquiries, and our stay was very enjoyable.

What a gorgeous apartment! And it is located in a perfect area for seeing the sites yet still not being totally in tourist hell. Luca was a magnificent host. I can't recommend Terrazza de' Medici highly enough. Ten stars.

Wonderful location and beautiful historic building. We especially enjoyed the terrace and it's unique sitting room. Would recommend that owners update the kitchen utensils/dishware but otherwise we were very comfortable here for our 6 night stay.

Beautiful space conveniently located

This place was a lifesaver for us in Florence. Located right across the bridge from central area, plenty of fantastic restaurants very close. The space is beautiful, clean, convenient. Parking is available in a garage nearby.

Perfection

From our first moment finding Luca’s apartment, we fell in love with it. Located within a short walk of the Ponte Vecchio, the River Arno and handy shops, the apartment is fitted out superbly with old and contemporary mixed expertly together. The main bedroom in particular is wonderful, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms functional, clean and stylishly tiled/fitted. However, the absolute highlight has to be the terrace with small room, enough to seat 4, overlooking the street below and perfect for pre-dinner drinks watching the world go by or late night-caps after exploring beautiful Florence. We had worried that being so close to the centre of things might mean that noise was an issue but quite frankly, nothing disturbed our night’s sleep, as once the windows are shut any noise is dimmed down. This is an exceptional find and Luca a great host. We will be back.

Oasis in Firenze!

Our stay at TERRAZZA DE' MEDICI was great! Located right across the river from the heart of Florence within an easy walk of all the top landmarks, with great neighborhood, restaurants all around. It really felt like home! And that little terrace is to die for! I would ask the host for some shampoo and bar soap and if you need to do laundry, remember there isn’t a dryer so allow for time to air dry!
