Prestigieus en ruim appartement in het hart van Florence in een gebouw uit de Renaissance met uitzicht op het prachtige Piazza del Carmine. Gelegen in een van de meest authentieke en rustige delen van de stad, is het geschikt voor maximaal 7 personen. Een groot, stijlvol appartement met uitzicht op het prachtige Piazza del Carmine in het hart van de wijk Borgo San Frediano, een van de mooiste delen van het historische centrum van Florence. Het is een zeer levendige wijk waar u het authentieke Florence kunt ontdekken. In de buurt van het huis vinden we winkels, historische winkels en veel plaatsen waar u aangename avonden kunt doorbrengen in goed gezelschap. The first thing you should know is that they charge tax per person after you book the place, which is not mentioned in the listing and only appears once the booking is completed, and they charge you in cash once you check in.The house had no essentials—not even extra toilet paper. The coffee maker didn’t work properly, and there was nothing elegant or comfortable about the place at all. The bed sheets didn’t fit the mattresses correctly, the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, and they only provided one towel per person. Additionally, the owner controls the heating remotely. Overall, it felt too cheap to be considered anything close to a "elegant" stay.

Perfect location and comfort

I stayed for 12 nights with 2 other adults and 3 children.The place is comfortable, roomy and everything works. The location is wonderful. It is in a less crowded area than many but close enough to walk everywhere. There are restaurants and a grocery store steps away. The furnishings are not luxurious, but comfortable, clean and there is room for everyone. One bed (single room) had a mattress that was super hard and not so comfy. That would be my only complaint and some may like it.The air conditioning worked very well.We loved it!

Quiet, but convenient location - 15-20m walk to everywhere, including train station. Very large apt with plenty of space for 7 of us. Additional lighting in entryway off street would be helpful when entering apt in evening. Would definitely recommend!

This is a great apartment with plenty of space for a group. It's on the opposite side of the river from the major attractions in Florence but this should not keep you from staying here. Florence is a very walkable city; staying here gives you the chance to walk off the wonderful food you'll discover (most attractions are less than a 30 minute walk from the apartment). There are plenty of dining options in the area and I'd highly recommend Il Vespro, which is right down the street. We didn't realize it until the day we left, but there is a small grocery story literally around the corner from the apartment. Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens are a short walk away as well.Communication with the host and check-in were incredibly easy and there's a luggage storage facility nearby should you require it.

I agree with the other reviews. This is a great apartment in a great location with everything you could want within walking distance. We had a minor issue with the check-in process but I still definitely recommend this apartment. Also, for anyone planning to stay in September, be aware of the Florence Jazz Festival. It was located right across the street in the Piazza del Carmine the weekend we were there!

Great place, perfect location

The place is beautiful and very walkable to many restaurants and sights. It can get a little noisy at times, but that is just being in the city center. The air conditioning in the main bedroom didn’t work, but it was cool enough for the most part that it didn’t affect our stay. All in all it was a wonderful place with plenty of room for our group of seven. It had everything you would need for an extended stay! If I was ever back in the area, I would stay again.

Wonderful, spacious property, full of character, giving us plenty of room for our party of 7. The location is fantastic, in a vibrant but not overly busy local neighbourhood with plenty of nearby bars and restaurants. It is also a short walk over a bridge to the busy centre of Florence, so therefore it’s also a comfortable place to get back to quickly when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would definitely stay there again.

I can’t say enough good things about this property. It is huge and really lovely. The ceilings are so high you feel like you’re staying at a palace. The floor plan is open to accommodate groups comfortably but also gives enough areas to hide away when you need a break. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place in Florence!

Our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay at Petra Elegant in Florence. The location was perfect for us and there was lots of room for everyone. The kids especially loved the entrance to the building…. It is a bit like a castle! We had everything we needed to enjoy our 3 day stay. A couple small maintenance issues with the shower in the second bathroom but nothing serious. We would definitely stay here again. There are really good restaurants just a few steps away and a grocery right around the corner. We walked to all the Florence attractions. The church and piazza del Carmine are lovely, don’t miss the church as it is just outside your door.
