'Great historic hotel right on the river bank. The room was nice with a good size bathroom. The bed was a bit soft for our taste, but otherwise comfortable. There is not really a lot of shelve space, so if you're not travelling light, you might struggle to unpack. Every room has a nice terras. The pool is clean, but unheated. Breakfast is at The Mermaid Cafe, 2 door down from the hotel, and it can get very busy there later in the morning. Come early if you want a guaranteed table. Coffee and tea...

'Enjoyed the short stay. Friendly, helpful staff in an optimal location. Only negative experience was the morning of our departure and fellow appeared to have too many drinks the night before and was sleeping in the lobby on a bench . Staff attempted to awaken this patron but he refused to leave . Just hope staff was safe '

'Located on the beach with direct beach access from the pool area. Great view from balcony. Staff is very friendly. Balcony door would not close, but someone came to fix this within minutes.'
