'Great historic hotel right on the river bank. The room was nice with a good size bathroom. The bed was a bit soft for our taste, but otherwise comfortable. There is not really a lot of shelve space, so if you're not travelling light, you might struggle to unpack. Every room has a nice terras. The pool is clean, but unheated. Breakfast is at The Mermaid Cafe, 2 door down from the hotel, and it can get very busy there later in the morning. Come early if you want a guaranteed table. Coffee and tea...

'Selfishly I hate to say too many superlatives of just how nice this place is so it would be hard for us to book in the future. But I have to as its a total gem all the way around. Its our go to place now when we visit up here. Thanks Black Dolphin for a pleasant stay!'
