'My husband and I are both vegetarians, and the chef was able to make delicious vegetarian meals for us. The dinner we had was one of the best of our time in Japan. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The room and private onsen were relaxing, and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The staff went above and beyond by providing us a ride to the Open Air Museum and then to the train station. We had an incredible time and would very highly recommend staying here!!'

'Der Ryokan ist eine gute Wahl, wenn man Hakone erkunden möchte. Die Unterkunft sieht von Außen zwar nicht nach einem klassischen Ryokan aus bietet aber ansonsten den gleichen besonderen Service. 'If I can sum it up in one word…. ‘Wow!’ This hotel was amazing. I booked a Japanese style room on the upper floor of the west wing with a private onsen. The room was spacious, clean and really comfortable beds. Sitting in the onsen and having a ‘cold drink’ with the views was amazing. The hotel staff was excellent on check- in and check-out. Dinner and breakfast service was also excellent.'

'Excellent service, checking in was fast and friendly. The rooms are large and luxurious with a “Zen” feeling. 'Dit is een traditionele herberg, wat op zich een leuke ervaring is maar.... het personeel spreekt geen Engels en komt erg onvriendelijk over. Je voelt je echt een nummer. De slaapkwaliteit is minimaal (op een mat op de grond). Het is een wat oudere plek die muf en stoffig is. Eten is bijzonder maar viel een beetje weg bij deze minder positieve ervaringen'

'This is a great place for a weekend get away. Everything in the town closes at 5 so be mindful of that when visiting the town. Food is very good and highly suggest trying the Japanese style breakfast at least once. It was a very neat experience. Traditional breakfast was very basic. '
