'The staff was very friendly and helpful. The city centre is a 35 - 40 minute walk. You can also take the bus which stops 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The rooms aren't very special but will do for a short stay'

'Fijn hotel.

'The hotel appears to have had a fresh renovation and the staff weren’t just welcoming but very hospitable as if they were welcoming you into their personal home.
The hotel was in an ideal location for us with a very reasonable cost. Ideal because it is slightly away from the main road but close enough to the bus line to take you back and forth to city center and to Magdalen College which is also walkable from the hotel (8-10min). Many eatery options nearby.
A couple of things to note; 1. There...

'We stumbled onto the Artist’s Residence, and fell in love with it. There room s are so cozy and so artfully designed and decorated. The staff was wonderful. They helped in any way they could. The pub is from another era, a wonderful era. The food is great. The other customers were friendly and interesting. Next time we are anywhere near the area, we’re going to be staying there.'

15. Leonardo Royal Hotel Oxford
Leonardo Royal Hotel Oxford5,3 km van Oxford (OXF)
8.6 van 10, Voortreffelijk, (1.194 beoordelingen)
'The hotel is about a 10 minute Uber-drive to the city centre and it is surrounded by a nice park. The food is quite decent and check-in and check-out are smooth.
The hotel is a basic American-British 80s-90s hotel (now taken over by the Leonardo group) with dated carpets and rooms that need a renovation. I would not give this 4 stars, 3 max. The beds are ok, the pillows are excellent and a bathroom is outdated. It is small, does not have any 4-star amenities nor equipment and - to paraphrase a...

'Due to delays late at the hotel. Phoned to reserve for dinner at 8 pm; not possible agreed with 8.15. Normallly een good sign when it is that busy. When arriving at the hotel no one at the reception. Waiter told us to wait. It took 15 minutes. Reception needed creditcard which I did not understand as we paid in advance. Felt treated as if we were criminals. Went to restaurant where we got the most unattractive table in a almost empty restaurant. Menu very limited and overpriced. As we had to...
