'On average very good! The rooms are a bit on the older side but cozy nonetheless, the only thing that really needs to go is the carpet and the bed could do with some new matresses. Housekeeping could come by a little more often to check for toilet paper etc. The breakfast is really good! And the staff was absolutely lovely! There was a wedding as we were staying there but we didn't have any problems with the noise. Granted, if you are a light sleeper this maybe isn't the hotel for you but it...

'The decorations and atmosphere were lovely and contributed to the castle experience. The drinks and the food are slightly more pricey compared to the city. The room was big and the staff was very friendly. I would totally recommend this property for an escape from the city. '

'Het verbaasde me dat er geen droger voor gasten ergens stond. Ik had wat goed wat ik even snel wilde drogen omdat het nog klam was. Ik vermoed dat er van de 360 kamers in het hotel toch echt wel geregeld iemand gebruik zou willen maken van een droger. Verder lieve mensen, goede service en heerlijke plek.'

'Hotel is fine for the price incl. a good breakfast buffet and parking. East to get to a P&R with charging and take the bus into Edinburgh. The hotel bar in the evening was not too wide a choice and when it got difficult to make a cocktail they stopped serving cocktails and only offered easy serves.'
