'The apartment was dirty and dusty. We were 3 people and didn’t get the 2 bedroom apartment because we wanted the one that had the private hot tub in the balcony which only had one bedroom and when we got in the place to be able to relax the hot tub was dirty and broken and I told them and they wouldn’t send anybody to come fix it. Also the dishes were dirty and the sink in the kitchen barely had water to wash dishes, the water in the shower was like salt water terrible, and no where to find...

'The hotel is very pretty, so are the rooms. The prices for food are ridiculous however and not very good. We ordered traditional Mexican foods and they served it with sweet sauce! And then they still dare to over charge. Also the cabs that arrive at the hotel only try to rip off tourists. '

'When you enter the property; amazing! very beautiful. However if you market yourself as a family friendly hotel and you cannot offer hot water at night for a formule bottle, or any baby friendly food, im not very sure. The first we got with our 15 months old had a bathroom outside, without any closed of door. We asked for an upgrade (which we paid) as we thought it would have a bathtub. Seemed it was not connected but just put as decoration. Strange. Simply put; rooms were a bit too primitive...

'Perfect location, but a pity that there was too much seaweed. The hotel does a lot to remove it, but in our case it was impossible to enter the water. Appartments are very nice, but when you are a light sleeper, ask for a room that is not close to the road behind. For us it was no problem. '

'The staff at Moxy made the stay the most enjoyable part of the trip, everyone was extremely kind and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. The bikes provided were okay, but not the most comfortable for getting around. I’d definitely recommend renting a moped through Dias-Mex Scooter Rentals instead. 'Had an amazing stay at Secrets Tulum! The resort is absolutely beautiful, with a unique jungle/beach inspired design and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was 3/5, and the beach club was a great addition to the experience. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and made for a perfect getaway. I would definitely recommend Secrets Tulum and would love to return in the future!'

'Wat een geweldig hotelletje. Aan het gezellig drukke doorgaande straatje in Tulum beach ligt dit zeer leuk ingerichte hotel. (Geen last vd straat) Kamer hebben zeer goede bedden, wij hadden een standaard kamer, met koelkastje. Wel wat weinig opbergruimte. Je loopt binnen een paar passen het strand op waar ze heerlijke ligstoelen en bedden hebben met parasols(gratis). Verder beschikken ze over een zeer goed restaurant. 'The staff were very nice and charismatic. There were not a lot of people there which was nice in our opinion. Right in the beach. Beach chairs/beds and a pool right outside. We had our own little patio. There was a little thing of water next the stairs to the patio- I thought it was a bird bath- partner let me know it’s to wash the sand off your feet- simple but I really appreciated it. We always seen somebody cleaning in the distance. It’s walkable. It’s in a sort of gated part of Tulum....

'Great amenities and close to beach/supermarket Most communication thru Expedia portal went unanswered. Recommend direct communication with hotel staff by phone. Lovely pool and roof deck. No hot water in kitchen sink went unaddressed for entire stay. Very basic kitchen setup. '

There’s more pros than cons, that I will share: Pros Location is great, in a closed secured part of Zama, security 24/7, lots of restaurants, cafes, shops and tour operators within walking distance. Pool and patio area are really nice, spacious and has a shaded and a sunny side area. Rooms are spacious, and so are the bathrooms. Kitchen is clean and well equipped to make food.
