'This is listed as a 3 star hotel. It is not. It is the most luxurious hotel we’ve stayed at, including 5 star properties. The room was amazing. The location was perfect. Although everyone in Japan seems extraordinarily nice, the staff here beat even that standard. There was not one second of our time at this property that wasn’t perfect. 10/10. '

'The rooms were wonderful and bed was very comfortable. The bar area is very scenic and the kiwi cocktail that was on special was one of the best I’ve had. We really enjoyed the option to reserve the onsen privately as well. Would love to return!'

'The check at reception a friendly lady helped us very well to check in. The only advice I have is to clean a little better the room (some places are a bit dusty in the appartment). I can recommend this place for anybody else. Everything is close by, rent a bike, bike to the temples or visit the market which is a walking distance from Minn Sanjo. '
'There were two Japanese well maintained gardens and stone paving hallway outside. They were beautiful and they made us feel very historical culture. The summer season in Kyoto is very uncomfortable to stay outside because of the hight temperature but, in this house, for some reason we could stay comfortably without air conditioner. "A really nice hotel in the heart of Kyoto. Everything is clean and well-organized. There are free bicycles and umbrella’s. We had an amazing stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. "
"Kyoto Brighton is een prachtig hotel voor een verblijf in Kyoto. Het ligt niet echt centraal maar door hun privé (gratis)ter beschikking gestelde taxi bus die elk kwartier reed van en naar metro station is dit geen probleem. Het hotel had het beste ontbijt dat wij tijdens onze Japan reis hebben gehad. Voor wat betreft westers dan. Er werd continue bijgevuld yoghurt, fruit, wafels, broodjes. De kamers zijn groot en schoon. Alleen hadden wij het idee dat de biertjes in de koelkast voor ons waren dus hebben we de eerste dag lekker genoten van een biertje allebei en de volgende dag hebben we er eentje gedeeld. Pas bij het afrekenen bleek dat dit dus de minibar was. Het stond ons inziens nergens aangegeven. Maar okay ze waren lekker dus betaal je ervoor bij het uit checken. "
