'The Laurel Inn is up in Laurel Heights, away from the tourist/hotel concentration down by the Ferry Building. For us this was a big plus. The motel is comfortable, public transport is right outside the front door - and Muni is a great way to get around - plus there's a shopping strip just two blocks away on California St. A nice place all around.'

Wanted location that was midway and walkable for all the major spots- GG park to pier 39, Chinatown, Ferry Building, etc. Star Motel blew us away with the upgraded rooms, ample FREE parking spots, location, and flexibility for our check-out needs. 100% would recd to friends and stay again. We were in room 208- corner upstairs room- and loved it. Mini fridge, AC, new showers, sky light, and more. Loved our stay!'
'I am a woman in my 60s and I was treated very kindly and upgraded to a king when I had booked a queen. I’m here for UCSF after a surgery and was pleasantly surprised at the neighborhood feel, convenience of restaurants, and walkability of the area. Love the free parking, the wonderful smaller square pillows that were so moldable and comfortable to sleep on, and how my needs were perfectly accommodated.
