'The location and view from the room were amazing. We also visited the spa and got treatments while we were there, and those were also phenomental. The staff was friendly, helpful and responsive. The downsides were that the property is a bit older and needed some maintenance. There was peeling paint on the closet doors and our door wouldn't allow latch from the outside, so we had to call maintenance to come fix it. To their credit, they handled it very quickly and there were no other problems....

' The rooms were OK but the bed was not comfortable. The Carolina Room restaurant food was average and the service was terrible, very slow and not attentive. Very pricy. Menu needs to be reworked.'

'The view of the ocean was the only good thing about my room. The air conditioner didn't cool, no coffe pot,refrigerator didn't work,broke ice machine,stayed on 9th floor one elevator broke also could have had a microwave per request found out last night there. The only good thing about stay was staff Kat and Ernest. If I could have stayed in the lobby would have been amazing very disappointing paying well over 300 a night. I will never go back to the Tides again.'
