'We were so impressed by the kindness and flexibility during our stay. They accommodated an early check-in, had all of our luggage from our previous hotel waiting in our room, and even included thoughtful touches (handwritten welcome note). The hospitality was exceptional and made this one of our favorite travel experiences. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!'

'This Ryokan was fantastic! My wife and I stayed in the Seryo Ryokan for one night and were blown away by how nice and relaxing it was. We picked the private Onsen suite. Our room was the “Sakura” room which is a corner room with your own private garden, private onsen, and suite style room. The Kaiseki dinner was excellent and the breakfast was very good too. I will point out that dinner is rather early at 6 pm and although we were both full after dinner, we were craving additional food around 9...

'Hotel Okura is a beautiful hotel away from the crowded areas of Kyoto. Splurge on a garden room and you'll get a gorgeous view of temples and shrines. Everything is very lovely: staff, amenities, complimentary happy hour, breakfast service, the gym...'

'Upea pieni Luxury/boutiquehotelli, jossa koko asunto samassa!

'It was great!'

'Ideal location for visiting Kyoto. Entrance to the most useful subway line is right across the hotel at a 2 minute walk. Rooms are extremely spacious, about the biggest we ever had for this price. Subway prices are very cheap, around €5,- for a day pass. Located next to the international Convention Centre in a very good area. Also lots of shop within a 10 min. walk.'

'View Lodge Biwa is a really nice accommodation right on the lake shore at Manohama beach. Nice and quiet hotel with Japanese and western style rooms. The place is run by Chiaki (who is fluent in English) and her husband, who are excellent hosts.'

'The room felt spacious relative to other hotels we visited in Japan, and everything was clean. They supplied all the standard amenities for our stay. The only drawback was the lack of daily room cleaning and a laundry room; however, they replaced our towels everyday, and also shared details about a laundromat three minutes away from the hotel. The staff were very kind and assisted with forwarding our luggage to our next stop.'
