The Ventus ha is in an area across the street from the other two hotels. It has a river that you need to cross in order to get to the other two hotels, a very small collection of waters. That river smells so bad… like sewage. It is the first thing you smell in the morning and it is gross. This hotel also has no area to grab food, so you either need to get room service, or walk across the street to the other hotels. On one occasion it took three hours for the room. service to come to the room. We called every hour to be told it was on its way. They don’t have reservations for any of the nice sit down restaurants ( even though they’re always at half capacity.). NOT family friendly. Being somewhat removed from the hustle of Cancun is.nice. But the hotel dies down at 8 pm. There is absolutely nothing to do if you bring teens or kids. You can’t be in the pool after 8pm. The nice restaurants are all taken. They do a show some days for an hour, but not something kids would want to watch. Lastly the employees at this hotel seriously look like they regret their life choices. The employees interaction makes it all seem so sad.
