'This our second year at Cape Guinevere, and once again we had a wonderful stay. The house is cozy and well equipped, and really just perfect for our family to gather for meals, walks around Lancelot Shores, and of course for fires around the fire pit. It is close to Rochester and stores but we felt like we had our own private getaway in the woods. We’d go back again in a heartbeat!'

'We loved staying in Cabin 5! We were a little wary of the exterior shower house when booking, but it really is just a few steps away from all cabins and was clean each time we used it. We’d love to come back with extended family and rent out a few cabins together.'

Our hot cocoa welcome gift was a nice surprise on the chilly Thanksgiving weekend! We enjoyed that in front of the cozy gas fireplace. Highly recommended.'

'The property is affordable and very clean. The owner and his family were warm and accommodating. The location was perfect for my teen children — they loved the kayaks, the small swimming area, and the location. They could walk to town for ice cream and have a little independence. All in all, it was a lovely vacation.'

'We enjoyed this cottage for a fall vacation weekend. It’s a nice two bedroom that easily fit my family of 5. The kitchen was well stocked and we took full advantage of the warm weather for some grilling. There is a pretty view of the lake from the house and a small marsh. It was a short walk down a wooded path to the private waterfront area with a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and a large dock. We sat out on the dock and enjoyed the fall colors around the lake. 'I truly enjoyed my stay here. The house is clean, bright and full of amenities (they even have a record player and lots of records). Check in and check out was simple. The whole setup is open and inviting. Even though there were neighbors on both sides, it was secluded enough for us to enjoy some rest and relaxation. 'Nice spot on the lake, close to the shore as well. Camp is located well in from the roads so no concerns with traffic while staying there with our dog. Great screened porch. Although we didn’t get an opportunity to use them as the weather was cool it was nice to have kayaks and PFDs available if you were so inclined. Easy drive to explore the coast from the cabin. Lovely walks/small hikes nearby. Also close to shopping and Shain’s which was great!'

'The cottage was very clean. We stayed here while visiting family in Durham so the location was convenient. The guest book had great instructions as well as places to visit. We took our grandson to the Seacoast Science Center and we all enjoyed it very much. We would definitely stay here again.'

'We were able to house, feed and entertain 11 family members. There is excellent internet service. There are a collection of games and puzzles for indoor activities for young and old. There are outdoor yard games and then the waterfront on Great East lake: Swim, canoe, row boat, sail boat and float tubes. Rope swing near bye. Great firepit for night time: smores or just relax and watch the fire!'
