'THIS was exactly what my husband & I needed! The peace & quiet was cathartic to both of us. We LOVED the cabin & it was indeed a Fortress of Solitude in the most beautiful way! We were truly able to disconnect from our hectic jobs & responsibilities & simply BE. And yet, we ate dinner Wed night with nearby family members at the Homestead Steakhouse, and it was wonderful-both the company & the food. We will definitely return; hopefully for longer stays. 'If i could Give a zero star i would.. NOTHING like the pictures. In the middle of nowhere with no service & the internet wasn’t working, then it was roach infested & rat droppings around the dishes. Grass and weeds had overtaken the steps and outside. Obviously hasn’t been kept up. Then The owners only refunded half of my amount back when i shouldve Gotten a full refund. 10/10 horrible experience when it should’ve been a great experience for my 35th birthday . '

'Kitchen very well stocked as were the bathrooms. We enjoyed the snacks. We did not like learning about the 250 security deposit and ban on firearms on day of arrival. We found the ban discriminatory to the hunting lifestyle.'

'The house was well-located (near downtown but in a quiet neighborhood), the decor is lovely and pleasant, appliances are modern and in great shape, the living area (kitchen, dining, living - kind of a great room style) is spacious and very comfortable! There are plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc. The linens are plush, clean, and plentiful. When it got too warm, we switched the HVAC to cooling and were very comfortable. The group I travel with is quite interested in returning to this house...

'The house was perfect for our group of 5 adults and one child. Fish were active, even in December. Channel cats, bullheads, and largemouth all. The house is very well provisioned and the modern refresh was tastefully done. Great location and value.'
