'Breakfast cereal packets supplied. But not a good spot if you want to go to sleep early, as quite noisy when bar closes.'

'Old and very tired, in need of refurbishment. Three main things define a quality room - Plumbing, Pillows and Aircon, FAIL on all 3. You can hear other people's plumbing running. The pillows are thin cheap ones probably bought from Coles and the aircon was ineffective. Had to set it to 17C and flat out to even get the room down to a temperature where I wasn't sweating. Hardly slept and won't ever stay here again!'

'Beautiful views, amazing cooked breakfast, hosts were very welcoming. Classical decor in the room, and comfortable lounge area with fireplace. Highly recommended.'

'The Star was convenient to the conference centre which was our reason for booking but otherwise you would only go there if you were going to the casino. The room was small and a bit run down. There were some holes in the ceiling that we had to ask to get covered. There would be better places to stay if you are holding in Broadbeach.'

'We had an amazing one night stay at the Polish Place. The cabin was exactly as expected and had everything we needed. The only difficulty we had was check in. We are traveling internationally and needed WiFi to get updates as no one was at reception at 2:00 pm. Luckily a local winery saved the day with WiFi and the trip was smooth after that. Would definitely stay here again!'
