'Very quiet set village by the farms, biggest complaint was the restaurant staff across the street haha. Room was spotless, staff was incredibly helpful and kind, breakfast was amazing'

'A pitch perfect stay'

'I travel to So. Illinois annually to visit but this is my first stay at the Makanda Inn. It will not be my last. I had a very peaceful stay- after long days of family visit and running around with the grands, it was so nice to stay here where it was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast every morning was top notch and just the right portions.'

'House was clean, but had a smokey smell upon entering. AC was having issues as well so was pretty warm inside. Host did communicate really well before, during, and after stay. If you need a cost saving place to stay it is great. Neighborhood was quite and easy to get to the places we wanted to visit while in town.'

'We could not stay because I had a bad bicycle accident 30 minutes after check in. owner never offered to reschedule since I was in the hospital and could not use the accomodations. My inn keeper was friendly. However the 1st floor was incredibly messy. Surprisingly messy and dusty . I was quite uncomfortable. However our 2nd floor room was clean and tidy. parking was provided. And, it is across from a lovely park and a block away from a famous pretzel shop.'
