'Upon checking in, my partner started to have a bad reaction to all of the fresh exposed wood in the house. Neither of us were aware she had this sensitivity. It did not affect me at all. Amanda came to the rescue and was able to transfer us to another property right on the ocean in the heart of Bar Harbor, essentially saving our vacation. I will just say that the new property was so nice, it was a step down when we finally returned home after the vacation. Amanda rocks!!!'

'Highbrook Motel was a great place to stay. We were there 5 nights. Our room was very clean with good quality linens and towels, water pressure was great, amenities more than adequate. It was so convenient to order breakfast every day to eat in our room or on the porch in front of our room. We had access to more coffee, chocolate chip cookies and ability to pop popcorn. Front desk is very responsive. We could walk or ride a shuttle to town for restaurants and to see the sights. We hope to stay...

'Amazing spot! Simple, quiet, with a sprinkle of local lobster boats humming by. Perfect weather highlighted the sky, the water and the sunsets. I put away the phone (unreliable internet) opened up a good book, visited the nearby sand beach for a cold plunge, and took in some local theater. This place is a gift for the soul. '

'Landmark 1910 Shingle-style mansion centrally located next to downtown Bar Harbor, just steps from the sand bar to Bar Island. House was as advertised; maintenance and operating features fine; booking and check-in process smooth. A perfect venue for an extended family reunion. (We booked the house for my wife's 70th birthday.)'

'The included breakfast was so good and highly recommended. There was an electrical outlet in the bathroom that didn’t work. Also, not sure if it was us, but we couldn’t get the door to lock. However, for the location, cleanliness. We would stay here again. I might recommend a bigger refrigerator since we did have leftovers and they didn’t always fit in the fridge. '

'The stay was fine and the host a nice enough guy. However, just to lay out some facts: - The primary picture of the shed was taken before the units 1 and 2 were hung on the outside. The unit is half of that and you share a wall with another guest where you can hear everything they say or do. - The shed is about 50 yards from the primary house and about 50 feet from another structure that is an active construction site. - In order to turn on the AC, you have to stand on an old fold out wooden...

'Very clean, modern space. Property owner was very informative and gave perfect instructions for check in/out. Apt was in great location, at end of village, in quiet area of town, but within walking distance to everything, no need to drive for Village activities. Included all necessities. Only upgrade I would suggest would be to add a full length mirror in the bedrooms or somewhere in apt. Otherwise, no complaints! Would definitely recommend and stay again!!'
