'This house is huge and has lots of different indoor and outdoor gathering spaces so the kids and adults in our group of three families didn’t have to be on top of each other in one living space the whole time. Big firepit area and huge lawn were great, and we enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. There’s a place to buy fresh crabs, oysters, and shrimp very close by, and the house has everything you need for a crab night. The owner was incredibly responsive and kind.'

'The Chesapeake Mansion was even better than it looks on the VRBO listing. Huge house but still managed to feel warm and inviting, never cold or stand-offish. We cooked big dinners for our group of 12 and the kitchen was perfect for that. Billiards room was fun, amazing bar room, also an exercise room. Walking out on the dock was always a treat. With 12 people, folks could always find a place to chill out when they wanted, but we also had big rooms where we could all get together for chatting and...

'The place is tucked away and totally private, beautiful view, comfortable and clean. The owners were very accommodating to one issue that we had with the house resolved quickly. House is equipped with a ton of amenities and a 6seater limo style golf cart to carry everyone and their things to the fishing pier. We wish we had stayed longer. '

'We really had such a lovely time. The home was spotless and included so many little extras (like ziplock bags, snacks, spices and coffee). The beds were cozy and there were plenty of places to stretch out or enjoy the scenery from the deck. The game room was a real bonus to bond as a family away from devices. We were a short drive from some nice places to have lunch and breakfast. The location allowed us to take short day trips for scenic or historical walks. I had a few planning questions which...

'We loved this home. The location is excellent--close to areas like Easton and St Michael's, but out of the way and secluded. We loved sitting on the lawn by the Dixon Creek and watching the sunset. House is well stocked, and wifi is strong--supported 3 people who had to work. Highly recommend this beautiful home.'
