'It was a nice clean and new facility. We did have issues with their fancy TV. 85 and 87 year-old people do not know how to do some of those things involving black magic. Our big issue was the fact that Expedia never updated our reservation. I originally registered for the wrong date. The hotel could not change it because they said the reservation was made by Expedia. I knew nothing about Expedia. I thought I was dealing with the hotel. I paid the extra $103 to have them change my overnight date...

'Overall, we had a good experience at the Hyatt in Portland. The location was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel had great amenities. Unfortunately, the condition of the carpet in our room was a major disappointment. We were traveling with our pets, and the carpet appeared to have been heavily soiled by previous animals and had a very strong urine odor.
