'Heel mooi hotel dicht bij het centrum van York. Makkelijk te belopen. 2 éénpersoonsbedden waren zo geregeld. Alleen het ontbijt is heelmerg duur en summier, slecht. Roerei gemaakt van poeder, weinig keuze maar we £20!! '

'Het hotel is prima, ruime kamers, schoon, luxe gevoel, prachtige badkamer met bad en aparte (regen) douche, maar eenmaal buiten struikel je over bedelaars en zwervers, we waren in shock. Het voelt niet fijn. Minpunt is wel dat we vertrokken tijdens de gaypride en onduidelijk was of er bussen naar Leeds Bradford reden. 'We stayed at The Grand last weekend for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The location is fantastic, right next to the York wall and only a 5-minute walk into the town centre. The hotel staff were so welcoming, and the doormen in particular were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We parked in the NCP car park just around the corner, which was really convenient. Although the pool was closed for renovation (something we were aware of when booking), our stay was still perfect. 'Welcome drink on arrival... Still waiting for it! Raised issues with staff that were handled professionally but could have easily been avoided. Buffet style breakfast with choice of additional cooked to order dishes and continental options 5*. The surroundings were breathtaking. Would recommend as peaceful retreat for all to stay and enjoy local area with much to see and do. 10/10 to cocktail maker Alex.'
