'This hotel was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is on a vineyard. It’s quiet, beautiful and so close to Colonial Williamsburg. Every room is unique and decorated with antiques. Nice breakfast and a complimentary wine tasting too. Everyone was kind and helpful. We look forward to coming back! '
'We enjoyed our stay at Dockside. This is a small 24 unit inn. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable. There is a pet relief area and picnic tables with grills. '

The room offers a great kitchenette but there are NO tools to cook or eat with - no glasses, plates, cutlery, pots or pans to cook with. This was disappointing as we were hoping to use the hotel for a regularly scheduled weekly stays.'

'We were only here for about 12 hours, but what we saw we liked a lot. Starting off the check-in was smooth and easy with Shawna. The surrounding areas had nice mulch and plants. The hotel itself is a very nice brick two-story building. Parking was spacious. The room was your average to bed with a tiny desk and a closet to hang clothes along with a dresser. "This is a reasonable hotel in terms of price/quality ratio. The location is almost at the end of the boardwalk but the Virginia Beach shuttle stops right outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there were some things that were not right, when we arrived the indoor pool was not open, both washing machines were out of order (there were 4 brand new dryers in operation) and the sliding door to the balcony in our room we could only open by using a lot of force. We had a balcony with sea view on a high floor and the view was fantastic."
