'I loved that this hotel was in the middle of town and accessible to many areas of Vancouver. The rooms looked to have been renovated recently, and my mini suite felt like a little home away from home, with a stove, refrigerator, microwave and kitchen sink. This made meal and snack time easy, The hotel was clean and I felt safe here. The staff was very helpful as well. We arrived earlier than check in time, but they issued us a key to be able to use the restroom and stored our luggage for us...

'Het is gelegen op de universiteit en wordt doorgaans gebruikt voor mensen die enkele dagen moeten verblijven op de campus. In de zomermaanden kan je hier verblijven als toerist. Het heeft daardoor prima voorzieningen in en rondom het gebouw. Het ligt 5 min van zee en het is ongeveer 25 min naar Vancouver downtown. De sfeer is heel relaxed gezellig. '

'A travel writer friend recommended the Sylvia Hotel. We loved our stay there. Our room, the hotel staff, and the restaurant were great. The location on English Bay Beach can't be beat, and Stanley Park, Canadaa Place, Chinatown, and Gastown are close by. We walked around the area checking out restaurant options (of which there are plenty), but we returned to the hotel for both breakfast and dinner as the food was excellent, the wait staff was wonderful, and the prices were no higher than those...

'Het hotel zelf is goed met zeer vriendelijke en behulpzaam personeel. Ze lossen problemen direct op, zoals verstopte wc, te weinig handdoeken. Restaurant is goed ook met kinderen en niet duur. Suites zijn redelijk ruim maar de badkamer is al redelijk gedateerd. Hotel is dus fijn als uitvalbasis om vancouver te bezoeken. Echter groot minpunt is de lokatie. Het hotel bevindt zich midden in de meest ordinaire uitgangsleven tussen stripclubs en pubs van vancouver waar je niet wil zijn. ook s avonds...
