'I have stayed for years in Inn by the Sea La Jolla overall it is a very good hotel. However, now they have a breakfast to your room option. I ordered the oatmeal and coffee and was sadly disappointed in the oatmeal and coffee, both very bad. I thought I was supposed to pay $20 but they have several added charges written in very small writing which brought the price up to $30!!! Spoke to the manager and complained, he was very nice and did not charge me. I do NOT recommend the new breakfast...

'This hotel is old and so is everything in this hotel. Rooms sure are clean but no luxery feeling at all. No vault available on the room. No bar in this hotel and no dining facility. Breakfast room is too small, people had to wait on each other. Breakfast is also very limited with no cheese or meat. Also no fresh warm croissants etc. This hotel unfortunately should not use this high price in this condition.'

'I love the location! It’s so peaceful and serene! The food is delish from the restaurant there and super convenient being part of the property. Also, love that there are vendors nearby to rent paddle boards and kayaks! Can’t wait to return though. Wish it was less expensive. '
