'Good location, main area of city was within walking distance. The place was very clean, quiet, and safe, and the staff was friendly. The style gives a very authentic Japanese feel which was perfect for Kyoto. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again! Thank you!'

'いつもどおりの気持ちのよいステイでした。'

'The staff was amazing. Clean rooms everyday and the food served for breakfast was delicious. Would recommend to everyone.'

'Dit is geen hotel voor toerisme. Dit hotel is voor stelletjes die een wilde nacht willen beleven. '

'As long as you know it’s a love hotel, this is a decent place to stay on a budget. The room is well furnished, great bath, and most appreciated was the friendly and proactive réception desk which helped alleviate the quiet awkwardness of checking in. The bed wasn’t super comfortable, but the window opened out on a beautiful garden, very quiet!'

'Amazing property. Very clean room with amazing service.'

'A very pleasant boutique hotel experience. Beautiful traditional Japanese guest rooms.'

'Hotel Okura is a beautiful hotel away from the crowded areas of Kyoto. Splurge on a garden room and you'll get a gorgeous view of temples and shrines. Everything is very lovely: staff, amenities, complimentary happy hour, breakfast service, the gym...'

'I didn't expect that it would be a whole house just for myself! The service was splendid, very polite and helpful. The house has everything you need, i.e. all the dishes. The interior is traditional and, very comfortable and nice.'

'Our stay at Imperial Hotel Kyoto was excellent from start to finish. The service was outstanding— attentive and professional, with every detail taken care of. Our room was comfortable and immaculate. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the rooftop. It was such a wonderful space to relax, take in the views and enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto. It was a nice touch to our visit. Overall, Imperial Hotel Kyoto was fantastic. From the beautiful surroundings and excellent service to the...

'Quarto maravilhoso, estilo japonês, grande e confortável. A localização deixa um pouco a desejar, meio afastado. O horários do check in a partir das 16hs e principalmente o de check out as 10 hs ,me desagradou.'

'Words can’t explain how beautiful this hotel is and in the perfect location! The hotel is absolutely amazing and the views are unmatched. I’ve stayed at many great hotels but nothing compares to this one! Breakfast is fantastic and staff is so incredibly kind! Worth staying here when you come to Kyoto!!! Amazing!!!'

'We were immediately greeted by the warm and smiling staff of this sweet hotel right in the historic Gion district. We loved our large room and the heated floors in our bathroom. We had breakfast each morning that was delicious and ate dinner on our last night there which was out of this world!!! I’m so happy we stayed here.'

'Nieuw Hotel in Gion. De locatie is perfect voor veel bezienswaardigheden in Kyoto. Om de hoek waan je je in het oude Kyoto. Personeel is super aardig en behulpzaam. Mooie badkamer! Onze kamer had niet echt een uitzicht. De ramen gaan maar op een kier open. Het is wel heel stil. Net een nest waar je naar terugkeert ..heerlijk'

'The room felt spacious relative to other hotels we visited in Japan, and everything was clean. They supplied all the standard amenities for our stay. The only drawback was the lack of daily room cleaning and a laundry room; however, they replaced our towels everyday, and also shared details about a laundromat three minutes away from the hotel. The staff were very kind and assisted with forwarding our luggage to our next stop.'

'Location!'

'Great host and communication. The house is cozy and it had everything we needed. The air conditioning was great in the Japanese heatwave. In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes. However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though. The only real issue is that the property is not very accessible: the closest bust stop is about 15 min away and...
