'Very lovely house and super clean. There was no firewood as indicated in the advertisement, but we collected fallen branches and that worked. Hot tub was wonderful and overall great property! Would recommend.'

'What an amazing stay. 1790s cabin restored in the 80s. Beautiful and still had all we needed for our trip to the lake. We visited historic Bedford during the day and spent our evenings in this beautiful historic cabin. Met the owner Dave and he gave us a full tour and history. He also gave us some great suggestions for places to eat and places to get great views of the area.'

'This condo was even better than we expected. It has what has to be one of the most fabulous views in Virginia. Everything was so well supplied and inviting. The balcony overlooking the lake was so cozy and inviting that we ate all our meals there instead of going out. It is situated right near tha state park which has great walking trails right down to the Lake. The owner was so helpful with all our questions. We live only an hour away so i think we have found our retreat place!'

'A perfect lake retreat for a larger group. Excellent location on Smith Mountain Lake, including dock, paddle boards, heated pool & hot tub. The beds are the most comfortable sleeping mattresses I have ever slept on while traveling. The home is beautiful and the views amazing. Close to shopping, wineries and restaurants. Definitely is a true vacation.'

'Came to Danville to visit a dying friend. Very convenient location ,local food in the area was wonderful. The location being next to the river and the nature trail was amazing. I sat outside watching birds both mornings. Thanks so much.'

'We had a wonderful stay. The boys enjoyed learning about bass fishing from Billy Kohls. Great hikes nearby. Hot tub was fantastic after the cold days. Wonderful fenced in backyard for our pups. Lots of games for rainy day, just wish there would have been pool stick chalk so my husband could’ve taught my son pool table shots. Excellent location! We would stay here again'

'I had a great overnight stay at The Holbrook and I am excited to see the investment they have made. I almost feel guilty for having to punch in 3 stars on your question about the area. Over the past 30 years Danville has gone from being a vibrant city into a Detroit like condition. My hope is that my hometown will soon become a vibrant city again. '
