'The River House at Claremont was one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. I am a huge Gone With the Wind fan and this property brought you back to the South prior to the Civil War all we needed were ball gowns to make it really authentic. 'Had some friends and family come into town for July 4th weekend. Salomon was accommodating and moved our check in time an hour earlier when requested. The house was very clean and had a big backyard, along with a fire pit. Would definitely recommend this place.'

'My husband and I stayed for the weekend for our anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, smelled great, and looked well kept up. Although we didn’t use them, it seemed to have everything you already need to cook as well (pots, silverware, utensils, etc). I can’t speak for the club amenities since we didn’t use them but the registration staff were wonderful. My only regret is not staying here longer!'

"This is a reasonable hotel in terms of price/quality ratio. The location is almost at the end of the boardwalk but the Virginia Beach shuttle stops right outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there were some things that were not right, when we arrived the indoor pool was not open, both washing machines were out of order (there were 4 brand new dryers in operation) and the sliding door to the balcony in our room we could only open by using a lot of force. We had a balcony with sea view on a high floor and the view was fantastic."
